    All institution sport teams which compete for an AMCC championship may select one member from their team who displays good sportsmanship throughout the season to be a member of the All-AMCC Sportsmanship Team.

    Watson won the match point to give the Barons their fourth-straight AMCC title. Watson went undefeated in both singles and doubles action throughout the conference tournament, with an incomplete singles match agaist Pitt-Greensburg.

    Fleegle was undefeated in two critical AMCC victories over D'Youville and Pitt-Greensburg for the Mounties, who clinched a playoff berth for the first time in the six-year history of the program.

    Sulak only dropped six points in singles play over three matches. He is carrying a 6-match singles winning streak and a seven-match doubles winning streak after the week. Sulak dropped six points in doubles play at the No.1 doubles position. On the week, Sulak was an impressive 6-0 with singles and doubles victories over Penn St. Altoona, Mount Aloysius, and Pitt-Bradford.

    Brown continued his stellar play for the Mounties, earning both singles and doubles victories in the Mount's only contest of the week against non-conference opponent Bethany. Brown is still undefeated at 7-0 in singles play this season, and he is also 3-1 in doubles play.
  • BARON TENNIS TEAMS UP WITH YMCA

    Franciscan University of Steubenville and the Western Area YMCA of Pittsburgh announced that the two would enter into a partnership for the "Y" to host the Baron Tennis program for the 2016 season when its home courts at Belleview Park are unavailable due to weather.

    Sulak went 6-0 last week, including 4-0 in AMCC play. The #2 singles player picked up victories over D'Youville (6-2, 6-0), Ohio Northern (6-2, 6-5), and Penn St. Behrend (6-1, 6-3). At the #1 doubles position, Sulak picked up the wins with 8-5, 8-5, and 8-4 victories, respectively. Sulak led the Barons to a big team victory after defeating Penn St. Behrend, the other previously unbeaten AMCC team.

    McFarland went undefeated in singles play and was 2-1 in doubles, helping the Lions win three straight over the weekend. He blanked his opponent at No. 4 singles against D'Youville on Friday.

    Hample led the Mounties to a 2-0 start to their season by going 3-1 overall in competition, including a 9-8 win in a thriller in #1 doubles against Waynesburg that helped Mount Aloysius to the team victory.

    McFarland helped the Lions pick up their first conference win this weekend over Pitt-Bradford. He went undefeated in singles and doubles action. McFarland won at No. 4 singles and No. 1 doubles. Against Baldwin Wallace, he was the lone winner at No. 6 singles.
