DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: La Roche GK Austin Gorman went 2-0 this week playing all 180 minutes in two pivotal wins for La Roche against Penn St. Altoona (10/23) & Pitt Bradford (10/26). In those performances, Gorman finished with eight saves and only allowed two goals, while also picking up a shutout. With their backs against the wall, Gorman and the Redhawks have won back-to-back games for the first time all season, clinching a spot in the conference postseason for the 13th year in a row.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Mount Aloysius GK James Eyre earned two shutout wins in a 2-0 week for the Mounties, playing 90 minutes in both games and improving his overall record to 3-2 on the season...PS-Behrend GK Matt Warnaka posted a 0.50 goals-against average in a pair of wins this week, as he made five total saves on seven shots and tallied a shutout in the win over Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday...Franciscan GK Brian Gaughan played in one match this week, recording a shutout and going 1-0, including seven saves and becoming Franciscan's all-time wins leader (24) with his win this week...PS-Altoona D Connor Kiley led a Lions' back line that allowed just one goal in two AMCC games against La Roche and Hilbert last week, helping Penn State Altoona notch its third shutout win of the season in a 6-0 victory at Hilbert on Saturday...Hilbert D Hector Harris, who shifted into the goalie position for the first time in his career, came up huge for the Hawks making a total of 43 saves (21.5 spg) with a .754 save percentage, establishing his career-high of 21 saves against Medaille and improving that with 22 saves against Penn State Altoona.
