EMMA AND DAN'S INSPIRATIONAL WALK TO WASHINGTON, D.C.

EMMA AND DAN'S INSPIRATIONAL WALK TO WASHINGTON, D.C.

Penn State Behrend men's soccer coach Dan Perritano and his 23-year old daughter Emma are embarking on their sixth journey this summer. The duo will be walking 320-miles from Erie, Pennsylvania to Washington, D.C. The walk will help raise funds for the Erie Homes for Children and Adults (EHCA) MOVE program. Emma is a participant at MOVE four days a week. The official walk will begin June 1 and end on June 16.

MOVE (Making Opportunities for Volunteerism and Exploration) is EHCA's licensed adult day program with a community focus. MOVE is designed to give adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities opportunities for success by providing them with choices and experiences involving community participation and creative expression. MOVE enhances people's independence and community inclusion by focusing on each person's abilities and interests.

Dan will be pushing Emma in her Team Hoyt running chair, a custom-built chair designed for individuals with physical challenges, that was purchased through a grant from ACHIEVA.

All contributions are tax deductible.
