CASTILLO, CASSANO HEADLINE MEN'S SOCCER ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

Medaille College freshman forward Ander Castillo has been named the AMCC Men's Soccer Newcomer and Offensive Player of the Year. Castillo recorded a total of 25 goals and three assists, earning him 53 points. He took 132 shots with 52 on goal. Out of his 25 goals, seven of them were game-winners. Castillo had his best game of the season against AMCC opponent Pitt-Bradford, as he took a season-high of eight shots, scoring three goals. He had 12 games where he scored multiple times. Castillo went on a six game scoring streak throughout the month of October, ending the season as the top goal scorer in the AMCC. Castillo currently leads the nation in NCAA DIII in goals on the season. 

Penn State Behrend M Andrew Cassano has been tabbed as the AMCC Defensive Player of the Year. Cassano was a key piece in the Lions strong defensive front in 2021, helping Behrend lead the AMCC in multiple statistical categories. On top of his stellar play on the back end, Cassano also added on two goals and an assist in conference play. Cassano was named AMCC Defensive Player of the Week on October 25.

Medaille head coach Sean Hallas was named the AMCC Coach of the Year. Hallas led the Mavs to an 8-0 conference record and the top seed in the conference tournament.
