BEHREND MEN'S SOCCER MOVES TO 10TH IN USC TOP 25 POLL

The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team, the lone Division III team untied and undefeated, moved up two spots into 10th in the latest United Soccer Coaches (USC) Top 25 Poll, announced on Tuesday.

This is the first time in program history the Lions (11-0) have been in the Top 10. Behrend remains second in the region behind John Carroll, who stayed at the No. 7  nationally this week.

Last week, Behrend went 2-0 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action. The Lions defeated D'Youville 4-0 for their sixth shutout of the season, before earning a 3-1 victory against Franciscan on Saturday.

Senior Nick Kisiel tallied two goals and one assist on the week. Senior Nick Schwarzel was named the AMCC Defensive Player of the Week for scoring the eventual game-winning goal on a penalty kick vs. the Barons. Richard Blanchard ranks 12th in the NCAA Division III statistics in total assists (7).
