BEHREND MEN'S SOCCER RANKED 12TH IN USC COACHES POLL

The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team is ranked No. 12 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll, announced on Tuesday.

The Lions are one of four teams in Division III who are undefeated and untied with a 9-0 overall record. Behrend joins the likes of No. 1 Tufts, No. 13 Hardin-Simmons and Eastern Connecticut. The Lions remain second in the region behind John Carroll, who ranks seventh this week.

Last week, Behrend defeated No. 14 Mt. Union 2-1 in overtime. Andrew Mastovich tallied the game-winning goal for the Lions off a corner kick from Richard Blanchard. Blanchard ranks 14th in the NCAA Division III statistics in assists per game (0.67). The junior forward leads the team with six assists in nine contests.
