La Roche University is excited to announce the hiring of Zach Wilfong as the next head coach of the Redhawks men's lacrosse program.

Wilfong brings a decade worth of coaching experience, both at the high school and collegiate level, to the men's lacrosse program. His experience as a collegiate coach ranges from the DII and DIII landscapes of the NCAA, as well as the MCLA.

Most recently, Coach Wilfong was at the helm of the University of Pittsburgh Men's Lacrosse program, a competitive member of the MCLA. While there, he led the program to an appearance in the CLC conference playoffs. Additionally, during the 2019 season he coached six CLC All-Conference winners.

Wilfong was the Offensive Coordinator at Division II Seton Hill University. During his two seasons (2017-18) with SHU, he helped lead the Griffins to a 29-6 record, the nation's #1 ranked offense, two GMAC Conference Championships, and a national semifinal appearance; doing this while simultaneously earning his Master of Business Administration from Seton Hill. Throughout his time at Seton Hill, he directly coached several NCAA DII USILA All-Americans, as well as the 2018 GMAC Offensive Player of the Year.

Prior to Seton Hill, Wilfong played a crucial role in developing a program at Division III Ohio Northern University. At ONU, he assisted the lacrosse team in their inaugural year, serving as a Recruiting Coordinator and Primary Assistant Lacrosse Coach, while helping the team achieve a winning record of 8-7 during the 2016 season.

He also spent time as Carnegie Mellon University's Head Coach and Central Catholic High School's Offensive Coordinator.

As a player, Wilfong was a standout attackman at Saint Vincent College. He was a four-year starter, three-year captain, and one of the top all-time scorers in school history. He finished his career with 201 total points, 120 Goals, 81 Assists. After his senior campaign, he was selected to play in the prestigious USILA DIII North-South Game.

Coach Wilfong is a native of Columbus, OH and currently resides in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. He and his fiancé Carly plan to be married in October, 2020.
