PLAYER OF THE WEEK: La Roche F Tyler Frederick helped the Redhawks go 2-0 on the week and secure the number one seed in the AMCC championship tournament for the third year in a row. In an 82-75 victory against Franciscan on Wednesday, Frederick put up big numbers with 28 points and tied his career-high with 19 rebounds, picking up his 14th double-double of the season (T-8th in D-III). Later in the week, Frederick led the Redhawks to a comeback win at Hilbert College with a team-high 19 points and contributed four rebounds, two steals, an assist and a block. On the week, Frederick averaged 23.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 70% (16-23) from the floor, 55.6% (5-9) from deep and a perfect 10-10 at the free throw line.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Hilbert G Hunter Martineau led the Hawks to a 1-1 record this week, averaging 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game, as the senior guard fueled the Hawks defense with five steals and three blocks, he also led the attack against the division leader La Roche College with 30 points, six rebounds and eight assists in a 88-86 defeat...Medaille G Kendall McGill put together a career night, sinking 30 points as he went 13-for-20 from the field, leading to the team-high in points, while also tacking on seven rebounds and a block...PS-Behrend G Kenny Fukon averaged 17.0 points and shot 51.9 percent from the floor in a pair of AMCC wins this week, registering 20 points and seven rebounds against Medaille, while adding 14 points and six assists against Altoona...PS-Altoona SR Cameron Gardner-Nicholason was solid for the Lions in two games last week, as he finished with 11 points and 13 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season against Grove City, while following that up with 12 points and nine rebounds in the AMCC Game of the Week against PS-Behrend...Mount Aloysius F Carlos Palacio helped the Mounties to a 1-1 week, averaging 11.5 points and 13 rebounds per game, as he posted a 14 point, 16 rebound double-double in a win over Pitt-Bradford, and also recording nine points and 10 rebounds against Pitt-Greensburg...Franciscan C Matt Trent became the 17th member of the 1000 point club this week at Franciscan and is second all-time in Division three scoring at Franciscan behind Keoni Sablan (2014-18), as he shot over 50% from the field this week including 100% from three, while coming up huge in the second half against D'Youville to lead the Barons to a much needed win, keeping their season alive...D'Youville FR Devon Darrell had another strong week for D'Youville, as he recorded 23 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals in the team's loss to Franciscan on Saturday after an injury-shortened performance on Wednesday.
