Penn State Behrend head men's basketball coach Dave Niland has been named the HoopDirt.com Coach of the Week, presented by Just Play Solutions.
Coach Niland collected a milestone victory this week with the Lions, reaching 500 career wins in a 76-60 decision over Fredonia on Wednesday. In his 26th season at the helm, he is the program's all-time leader in wins and ranks 12th among winningest active coaches in Division III. Niland has been named AMCC Coach of the Year seven times and has led the Lions to six conference championships.
Coach Niland is now eligible to receive the HoopsDirt.com National Coach of the Year award presented by Just Play Solutions, announced at the conclusion of the 2019-20 college basketball season.
