AMCC MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME OF THE WEEK: LA ROCHE @ PITT-GREENSBURG

The AMCC Men's Basketball Game of the Week is a showdown between the top two teams in the conference, as the first place La Roche University (17-6, 17-1 AMCC) Redhawks travel to Greensburg, PA to take on the second place Pitt-Greensburg (20-4, 16-3 AMCC) Bobcats in the final week of the regular season. 
 
La Roche clinched the No. 1 seed in the AMCC Championship Tournament and at least a share of the AMCC Regular Season Title on Saturday at Hilbert after taking down the Hawks late, 88-86. The Redhawks are 4-0 in games decided by four points or less this season. A win over Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday would give LRU sole possession of the regular season conference title. The Redhawks defeated Pitt-Greensburg at home earlier this season on December 21st in the AMCC Game of the Week, 89-73.  Junior F Tyler Frederick scored a career-high 34 points in the victory. On Monday, Frederick was awarded AMCC Player of the Week for the third time this season and fifth time in his career. Frederick still leads the league in scoring (19.3 PPG), rebounding (11.8 RPG) and is tied ninth in D-III with 14 double-doubles. Guard Kennedy Smith is second on the team, and fifth in the league, with 16.8 points per game. The Redhawks offense has shot over 51% from the floor and 42% from three point range in each of their last three games. La Roche is an impressive 51-3 in regular season conference play over the last three seasons.
 
Pitt-Greensburg is in the midst of a five-game win streak, with their latest victory coming on Saturday over Alfred State College. The Bobcats feature a balanced offensive attack, with five players averaging double figures. Junior G Matt Johnson leads the attack with 15.8 points per game, with Jojo France (15.6 PPG) and Cam Seigfreid (15.2 PPG) right behind him. Seigfreid, who recently ecplised the 1,000 point mark for his career, also leads the league with a 48.3 shooting percentage from three. As a team, Pitt-Greensburg has been winning games by an average of over 10 points per game, as the Bobcats average 82.1 points per game, while their opponents are averaging 71.6. They have shot almost 50% from the floor and 37.6% from three on the season.
