Nick DeLisio, Penn State BehrendMarch 03, 2014DeLisio scored a career-high 26 points and shot 72.7% from the field in Behrend’s semifinal victory over Pitt-Bradford in the AMCC Tournament. In the championship, the junior led the team in scoring with 18 points in the Lions’ 66-51 victory over Hilbert to clinch the AMCC title for the second straight year. On the week, DeLisio averaged 22 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals while shooting 57.7% from the field, 50% from behind the arc, and 83.3% from the line.

The senior followed this performance with another 35 points in a win over D’Youville, narrowly missing a triple-double with 10 rebounds and 7 assists. On the week, Greenfield averaged 32.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 3.0 steals. In the AMCC, Greenfield is currently ranked 1st in points per game (26) and 4th in 3pt percentage (44.6).

Evan Greening, Penn State AltoonaFebruary 17, 2014Greening averaged a double-double on the week, with 24 points and 14 rebounds in a loss to Mount Aloysius followed by 31 points and a career-high 18 rebounds in a win over D’Youville. On the week, the freshman averaged 27.5 points and 16.0 rebounds while shooting 64.5% from the floor and 75% from the line. In the AMCC, Greening is currently ranked 2nd in points per game (19.5), rebounds per game (10.8), and field-goal percentage (57.8).

ALTOONA DONATES TIME TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDRENFebruary 11, 2014Members of the Penn State Altoona men's basketball team, along with its coaching staff, recently donated their time at the Logan Elementary School basketball practice. The Wildcats players received instruction from the Penn State Altoona student-athletes on layups, shooting, passing, and defense. The Lions also participated in several activities in the practice with the sixth grade students. "It was a great experience for everyone involved," said Penn State Altoona head coach Billy Clapper. "It was a great opportunity for our team to spend time with area youth basketball players."

The junior guard followed this performance with another 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 blocks in a win over La Roche. On the week, Burgess averaged 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 2.5 steals. The junior shot 57.1% from the floor and 85% from the line.

In addition, the junior averaged 7.0 rpg. Coleman’s 57 points on the week pushed him across the 1,000 career points mark.

The freshman averaged a double-double, with 24 ppg and 10 rpg while shooting 63% from the floor. Greening’s performance this week moved him into the top 30 in NCAA Division III in field-goal percentage and field-goals made.

Trevor Stark, Hilbert CollegeJanuary 13, 2014Stark led the Hawks to three conference wins this week, finishing a double overtime win over La Roche with a career first double-double of 24 points and 11 assists in 48 minutes. He assisted on the game winning shot with 0.9 seconds to go. Stark had 21 point vs. D’Youville and 22 points against Mt. Aloysius, to finish the week averaging 22 points and 6.7 assists per game, while shooting 50% from the 3 point line and a perfect 10-10 from the free throw line.

Shawn Greenfield, Mount Aloysius CollegeJanuary 06, 2014Greenfield scored a career high 33 points in a 71-58 loss to Medaille, then recorded a career-high 10 rebounds to go with 21 points for his first double/double of the season in a nonconference road win over Lancaster Bible. The AMCC's leading scorer finished the week averaging 27.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 4.5 apg and 2.0 spg.
