PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Behrend INF Zack Bowen registered a hit in all five games last week including multi-hit performances in four, helping the Lions to a perfect 5-0 record. Bowen collected 12 hits in 22 at bats (.545) and hit for extra bases seven times including two homeruns. He finished the week with an astounding 1.091 slugging percentage and an OPS of 1.674. Bowen produced 13 runs and drove in eight while swiping six bags without getting caught. Bowen was on cycle watch in both victories over Altoona, completing three legs of the rare accomplishment while combining for six hits in the conference sweep. In addition, Bown picked up the save on the mound in the Lions' 6-1 victory over Medaille. 

 

BEST OF THE REST: Alfred State P/1B Nick Serce went 8-for-11 and recorded eight RBIs, seven runs, two home runs, three doubles and a .727 batting average in the Pioneers 3-1 week, including a 3-for-3 persformace in a win over UPB with three RBIs, two doubles and one run scored...Hilbert 1B Thomas Evans continued his breakout season with another strong performance at Alfred State on Friday afternoon, as he went 2-for-4 in game one with a grand slam to lift the Hawks to a 13-7 victory and then followed it up with another 2-for-4 performance in game two to finish the day with a .500 batting average and .556 on base percentage...Mount Aloysius P/UTIL Troy Emert had a hit in all five Mountie games, this week, totalling eight hits, driving in six runs and scoring six runs himself, as he went 3-for-7 and drove in three runs while scoring twice in a series sweep over Pitt-Greensburg...Medaille P/C/OF Ean Pokorski earned a .571 batting average against Penn State Behrend, as he went 4-for-7 with one triple, one stolen base, and two runs scored.
