AMCC ANNOUNCES MEN'S BASEBALL 25TH ANNIVERSARY TEAM

Throughout the 2021-22 academic year, the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) will be celebrating its 25th anniversary. As part of the celebration, the AMCC office will be releasing a 25th anniversary all-AMCC team for each of its 16 conference-sponsored sports.

Former Penn State Behrend standout David Koerbel remains the only baseball player in AMCC history to be named both the AMCC Player and Pitcher of the Year in the same season. Korbel picked up the honors in 2008, while also being named the Pitcher of the Year in 2009.

Other former players to be named two-time AMCC Players of the Year include Behrend's Josh Fyffe (2009 & 2010) and Jake Boyle (2001 & 2002), Penn State Altoona's Tony Petulla (2005 & 2006), and Frostburg State University's Billy Hollister (2005 & 2006) and Pat Sweeney (1998 & 2000).

As a team, La Roche University has claimed the most AMCC baseball titles with seven, while defending champion Penn State Behrend is right behind them with six.
