Shaulis Scores 19 Points in Pitt. Greensburg Loss

Skylar Shaulis (Ovid/South Seneca) tied her season high of 19 points in the Alfred State women's basketball 72-60 loss to the Pitt. Greensburg Bobcats on Saturday evening inside Chambers Hall Gymnasium.

The Pioneers finish the regular season 10-13 overall and 7-9 in the AMCC while the Bobcats improve to 18-5 overall and 13-3 in the conference.

Alfred State will play in their first AMCC post-season game as the No. 5 seed and will travel to the No. 4 seed Hilbert College on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m.

The Pioneers shot 37.7% in field goals, 38.9% in three-pointers, 53.8% in free throws and picked up 35 rebounds.

Pitt. Greensburg recorded 43.5% in field goals, 25% in three-pointers, 81.8% in free throws, had 47 rebounds and scored 22 points off the Pioneers 19 turnovers.

Maisy Booth (Canisteo Greenwood) scored 17 points, had four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Emily Kelley (Andover) had nine points, ten rebounds and five assists. Shaulis picked up five rebounds.

The Bobcats led 38-30 at halftime.

Alfred State out-scored Pitt. Greensburg 18-15 in the third quarter and came within three points of the lead with 7:23 left in the game.

The Bobcats held the Pioneers to just 12 points in the final quarter and put up 19 to take the 12-point win.
