Winning Streak Reaches Eight with Sweep at Medaille

The Alfred State volleyball team ran their winning streak to eight games with a 25-20, 25-22, 25-17 sweep at Medaille on Tuesday. Alfred State is now 12-1 overall and 3-0 in AMCC play.

Kiara Perkins (Coudersport, PA) led the blue & gold with 10 kills and eight digs. Keturah Gregory (Laurel, MD) finished with 10 kills, Nayomie Ferrer (Eastridge) passed out 30 assists, and Karleigh Haines (Jamestown) led the team with 15 digs. Alyssa Martin (Portville) recorded four of the Pioneers nine service aces.

The Pioneers recorded a hitting percentage of .280 for the day. Gregory led the way with a 769 percentage.

Halle Bogas led the Mavericks (4-11, 1-3 AMCC) with eight kills and six digs. 

The Pioneers continue their road trip on Saturday with a pair of games at Mt. Aloysius starting at 11 a.m. The first contest will be the AMCC contest.
