Panthers Win Second Straight, Beat LaRoche 7-2

Pittsburgh, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's tennis team won its second straight AMCC match on Sunday, defeating La Roche 7-2.

The Panthers began the day by winning two of three doubles matches. Caroline Hance and Lydia Ehrensberger breezed to an 8-0 win at #2 doubles, while Avitamarie Demieri and Sabrina Moser won in the third pairing 8-2.

Pitt-Bradford clinched the victory by winning 5 of 6 singles matches. Madilyn Rodgers picked up a 6-2, 6-3 win at #2 for her first career singles win. Hance, Ehrensberger, and Demieri all won their matches 6-1, 6-0, and Sabrina Moser swept her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at #6.

The Panthers are now 2-2 on the season, with an identical 2-2 record in conference play. They will continue AMCC play on Tuesday when they host Medaille at 4:00 p.m.
