Volleyball Walks Away Victorious in Tri-Match at Home

PITTSBURGH, PA - La Roche Women's Volleyball kicked off October with a trimatch sweep, defeating both Lycoming, and Pitt-Greensburg. 

The Redhawks started off with a win against the Lycoming Warriors. This was huge for the team as the when these two tussled earlier this season it was the Warriors walking away with a 3-1 victory. This morning La Roche was able to turn it around and took a 3-1 victory for themselves. Here's what you need to note.

  • Cassidy Rossi led the team to a victory with 20 total assists

  • Madison Johnson recorded 13 assist to help her team walk away with a victory

  • Another defensive machine on the court is Kenzie Kerkan who earned 18 digs, and 3 assists

 

The final matchup of the day for the Redhawks was against conference competitor Pitt-Greensburg. The Bobcats put up a tough battle but in the end the Redhawks were able to overcome and add another tally in the win column.

  • Quinn Hughes helped out her defensive by blocking 3 hits at the net

These wins are huge for the Redhawks as they get ready to move into next week's matchups against St. Vincent on Wednesday, and conference rival Penn State-Behrend on Friday at 7PM.
