The Alfred State Women's Basketball team hosted Penn.- St. Behrend and fell 93-57. After a close first few minutes, Penn.- St. Behrend pulled away from the Pioneers throughout the first half. Behrend shot over 50% from the field and turned the ball over only one time.
The Pioneers came out of the locker room strong. They went 10-19 from the field and had nine assists as a team in the quarter. The ball movement proved helpful, as the Pioneers scored 24 in the quarter. Three Pioneers were in double figures in the game. Calesta Reigelman (Johnson City, NY / Johnson City) was productive again. Reigelman had 15 points and shot 50% from deep going 3-6. Faith McCombs (Amityville, NY / Copaigue) continued her season full of double-doubles. McCombs tallied 14 points and 16 boards. Falyn Lewis-Ellison (Rexville, NY / Whitesville) had 11 points and went 5-11 from the field.
Alfred State plats again when the travel to Pitt.- Greensburg on Saturday, January 28.
