BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Hilbert College women's basketball team suffered a 68-42 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference loss at D'Youville College tonight.  Shannon Rogers and Jenah Labuski posted double figure scoring efforts but the visitors weren't able to outshoot the hosts in their last game of the fall semester.

Rogers put together game highs of 13 point, 15 rebound and five assists while Labuski finished as the only Hawk to shoot 50% from the floor hitting five of ten attempts off the bench.

D'Youville's Amanda Marcely led the hosts with team high 13 points and matched Jean-Ann Morona with eight Spartan rebounds.

D'Youville (7-2) jumped out to a 6-0 lead before Rogers scored the Hawks first points at 15:06.  Three minutes later, Amber Hay's hit a pair of free throws to cut into a 9-2 D'Youville run and Jenah Labuski's six consecutive points couldn't keep pace with the Spartans who held a double-digit lead with just over eight minutes remaining in the first half.  Missed shots and fouls began to take its toll on the Hawks who went to the break in a 41-19 hole.

Hilbert shot 25.9% from the field and 55.6% from the foul line while the hosts made 45% of their shots (35% from long distance) in the first half.  Things did not get much better in the second half.   The Hawks were tighter and shots just weren't falling.  Hilbert dropped to 17.9% but improved to 72% from the foul line.

Hilbert matched D'Youvile's efforts on the glass (38-38) but lost offensive possessions when they were whistled for 22 turnovers.

Now that the fall semester exam week is complete and the fall semester is officially over, the Hawks (0-7) can regroup over the holiday break and return for a second semester run when they gather for practice again on January 3, 2015.
