CLEVELAND, OH – Hilbert College struggled tonight against Hiram College in the opening day of the Marcia French Tournament. 

The Hawks scored a total of 25 points in their straight-set loss to the Terriers in a volleyball match played at Case Western University.

Hilbert (0-5) travels to Baldwin Wallace University for day two of the competition which is co-hosted by the two Ohio institutions.  Click this (LINK) for all details on the 19th Annual Marcia French Memorial Invitational.

The Hawks earned 12 kills, a pair of service aces and one block for a combined 15 points. 

Freshman setting Jasmine Branch assisted on six kills and led the Hawks with six digs.  Maegann Mein finished with four kills (8 attempts) and Sierra Seader added three kills and four digs.  Torianna LeWand combined three kills with five digs to keep the Hawks moving.

Hilbert will battle Baldwin Wallace (6-0) at 11 am and close the Invitational against Mt. Union (6-0) at 1pm.
