Redhawks Come Up Short Against the Mounties

CRESSON, PA - La Roche softball tried to rally after Mount Aloysius stole an early lead, but they couldn't get their bats going in time. The Redhawks fell 5-2.

LRU didn't get a run on the board until the fourth inning. With the bases loaded Garrah Milochik reached first base on a fielder's choice, and Alexis Myers was out at third base, but Kelly Denk was able to sneak by and get the team on the board.

The second run for the Redhawks was scored after Ashtin Hoover battled at the plate and earned herself a walk, moving everyone around the bases to make room for her, and securing a run.

Earning RBIS for La Roche was Garrah Milochik and Ashtin Hoover

Emilee Waldrop took the loss for the team. She stood tough for six innings and allowed five runs on 11 hits, striking out one.

Softball is back in action for their final conference game of the season against the Hilbert Hawks on Saturday.
