Pioneers Fall in Double OT

Alfred State and Penn College battled scoreless into double overtime on Tuesday night. The Wildcats broke the tie when they scored 37 seconds into the second OT to earn the 1-0 victory.

The Wildcats were able to quickly able to move from their defensive zone early in the 2nd OT. The ball found the foot of Kyle Ruhl who was able to lift a shot into the top right corner to account for the lone goal of the game 

Penn College held a 13 to 4 shot advantage and had 17 corner kick opportunities. Pioneer goalkeeper Thad Grierson (Perry) was outstanding in goal as he made seven saves.

The Pioneers are back at home on Saturday when they host SUNY Potsdam at 2:30 p.m.
