HAMBURG, N.Y. – La Roche University scored in bunches, both in the first half and second session as the Redhawks earned a 6-0 victory over Hilbert College in women's soccer this afternoon.
The Hawks surrendered a trio of goals spanning a 15-minute window mid-way the first half and trailed 3-0 by intermission. La Roche knocked home three more scores in a 13-minute segment that evened their AMCC record at 3-3.
Angelia Johnson took Hilbert's first shot in the 41st minute of the opening period and Hilbert closed the game with eight (two more shots on goal) in the second half.
Lauryn Scott made her first complete game appearance in goal and was credited with 10 saves in the loss.
The Hawks (0-8, 0-4 AMCC) will host Alfred State (1-8-1, 1-4 AMCC) in their first contest as league opponents this coming Tuesday, October 15. Kick-off set for 3:15pm.
Hilbert will welcome Pitt.-Bradford back to Hamburg on Thursday, October 17. The Hawks and Panthers rain-shortened game a week ago will be played in its entirety beginning at 2:00 pm.
