The Alfred State Men's Basketball team hosted Penn.- St. Altoona and lost 96-64.
The Pioneers started the game hot with a 9-0 run in the first 2 1/2, minutes. Before the midway point of the first half, Altoona clawed back and tied the game at 15. Penn.- St. Altoona slowly gained momentum and control, ending the first half up 34-25. Half number two was all Penn.- St. Altoona, the Lions outscored the Pioneers 62-39 and shot 58% from the field.
Some standouts for the Pioneers include:
Paris Jamison (Brooklyn, NY / East Side): Jamison had 19 points, tops for the Pioneers. Jamison also tallied 7 boards and went 7-11 from the stripe.
Cody Schneider (Belmont, NY / Genesee Valley): Schneider had 12 points and 8 rebounds. He went 2-5 from deep and 5-11 from the field.
