11-0 Streak Continues with the Last Contest of Regular Season; La Roche named No. 1 Seed

PITTSBURGH, PA - Tonight the Lady Redhawks closed out their regular season with a win against Medaille; finishing the regular season with a 12-0 win streak that started with a win against Medaille.

With tonight being senior night it's only fitting that Ayanna Mazyck had her seventh double double of the season. Mazyck tonight shot 45 percent from the field for a total of 12 points and rounded out the second part of the double double with 15 rebounds.

The Lady Redhawks shot 47.3 percent from the field tonight, and had two lead changes in tonight's contest. La Roche never let the Mavericks get very far with it though, and only let the Mavs spend a minute and forty seconds with the lead throughout the whole game.

The LRU defense was able to force 15 turnovers from Medaille and converted those turnovers into 17 points. The Redhawk offense also benefited from fastbreaks gaining 24 points from them.

Danajah Sanders and Alexis Robison both earned 13 points in tonight's matchup. Sanders also contributed two assists.

Robison 60 percent from the three point line, and 66.6 percent from the field.

With this win, the Redhawks secured the regular season champions, and to host the AMCC Women's Basketball Championship tournament. They will be back in action on Friday, February 25, against the winner of the Hilbert vs. Alfred State game that is scheduled to take place on Thursday, February 22 at 7 PM.
