Women’s Tennis Blanked by Behrend

ALTOONA, Pa. – Penn State Altoona women's tennis suffered its second Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference loss of the season on Friday, when the Lions fell 9-0 to conference opponent Penn State Behrend at the Adler Tennis Courts.

Penn State Behrend (5-1, 3-1 AMCC) swept doubles play by scores of 8-5, 8-0, and 8-6. The visitors then took care of Penn State Altoona (2-4, 1-2 AMCC) in singles, winning all six matches by comfortable margins.

Penn State Altoona women's tennis returns to action this Sunday, October 3, hosting AMCC opponent Pitt-Bradford for a home match starting at 1:00 p.m. The match is currently scheduled to be played on campus at the Adler Tennis Courts, however, it could be moved indoors if the threat of rain is too great.
