Synopsis:

Junior forward Hugo Arroyo started things off for the Redhawks in the 14th minute of the match with an amazing corner kick goal. Arroyo curved the ball to the top far left corner of the net where it bounced off the post and into the back of the net, marking his first goal of the season. The second goal would come off a penalty kick by Senior midfielder Firas Abduljawad in the 21st minute of the first half. It is Firas' fifth goal this season (T-1st on the team). As the clock was winding down in the first, Mt. Aloysius ripped a shot from 25 yards out to bring the Mounties within one entering halftime.

The Mounties struck again less than three minutes into the second half off a penalty kick.

The winning goal did not come until the 82nd minute of the match when Freshman Linus Westberg of Mt. Aloysius put the ball past goalkeeper Austin Gorman at the top of the goal box after it bounced off a Redhawk defender.

Mt. Aloysius took twice as many shots as the Redhawks (25-12).

Today's match was physical from start to finish, 7 Yellow Cards (La Roche:3, Mt. Aloysius: 4) and 33 fouls (La Roche: 15, Mt. Aloysius: 18) were recorded in the conference contest.
