FORT PIERCE, Fla. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team registered their first two wins of the season, sweeping Cairn in a non-conference doubleheader over Spring Break on Monday.

Game One:

Score: Penn State Behrend 6, Cairn 4
Records: Penn State Behrend (1-4), Cairn (5-7)

Key Moments:

* The Lions picked up their first win of the season
* Behrend rallied back from a 3-1 deficit with to three runs in the fourth and two in the sixth
* Braden Paulinellie (DuBois, PA/DuBois) had five RBI thanks to a double and a triple
* Josh Wagner (South Park, PA/South Park) improves his hitting streak to five straight with a double in the first inning
* Zac Bogats (Corapolis, PA/Moon) got Behrend on the board in the second inning, knocking in Dylan Hetrick (Mercer, PA/Mercer) with a single for a 1-0 lead
* Paulinellie knocked in the final five runs of the game with a pair of extra-base hits
* Caleb Caldwell (Frewsburg, NY/Frewsburg) started the game and Colin Kelly (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) came in relief for his first collegiate win
* Matt Schietroma (Gibsonia, PA/Pine Richland) earned the save in the final inning of work

Game Two:

Score: Penn State Behrend 9, Cairn 8
Records: Penn State Behrend (2-4), Cairn (5-8)

Key Moments:
* Juston Jones (Moon Township, PA/Moon) scored the game-winning run in the top of the eighth inning on a double by Wagner
* Wagner keeps his hitting streak alive with the game-winning RBI
* Don Charletta (West Newton, PA/Yough) went 2-for-3 and scored a pair of runs in the game
* Zach Bowen (Pittsburgh, PA/Sierra Catholic) also had a 2-for-3 performance with three RBIs
* Ryan Weaver (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) helped the Lions break a 5-all tie after the fifth for the win on the mound
* Bowen drove all three runs in the sixth with a double to give the Lions an 8-5 lead
* Behrend scored five runs in the fourth, three in the sixth and the game winner in the eighth
* The Highlanders grabbed the early lead with a run in the third and tied the game twice
