NAPLES, Fla. - Senior Meghan Sears (Tewksbury, Mass.) pitched a complete-game, five-hit shutout to backstop the Nichols College softball team to a 3-0 win over Pitt-Bradford Sunday morning in non-conference action at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic at North Collier Regional Park.

Junior Kendall Meehan (Danvers, Mass.) and freshman Cara Mayhew (Brooklyn, Conn.) each had two hits for the Bison while Meehan had the only RBI of the game. Meehan scored the game's first run on an error while Mayhew later scored on a wild pitch with Meehan at the plate.

Sears, meanwhile, walked a pair and did not record a strikeout.
