HAMBURG, N.Y. – The 9-0 Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer team maintained their unblemished record after they claimed a 5-0 victory over Hilbert College this afternoon.
The Hawks kept pace with Pitt-Greensburg during the game's first 16 minutes of action. However, the Bobcats scored two goals 50-seconds apart and established control from that point forward.
Hilbert gave up a third marker before intermission and surrendered two more hits in the second half for the final margin.
The Hawks hustled at each end of the field during the 90-minute game, but the Bobcats defense broke up play after play, as they limited Hilbert to only two first-half shots.
Grace Zabawa was credited with the Hawks solo shot on goal and
Amber Stuck, who hustled the full 90-minutes without a break, found room for one shot.
Brianna Stegmeier took the loss going almost 77 minutes between the pipes finishing with 10 saves.
Lauryn Scott closed the contest without giving up a score and made four saves in just over 13-minutes.
Hilbert (0-5, 0-1 AMCC) is gearing up to host their first mid-week league game when Pitt.-Bradford comes to town October 1. Kick-off is set for 4:15pm on the Hawks' varsity game field.
