PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Hilbert College women's soccer team played in their first overtime game of the 2015 season and came up short as they suffered a 1-0 loss at Chatham University today.
Jenna Castricone was credited with six saves, but in the 97th minute, Chatham's Julie Bruening found the back of the net for the game-winner.
The Cougars held an advantage in shots (on goal) against the Hawks, 20-11 (7-3). Chatham pushed for four corner kicks in the second half while Hilbert earned two – the first in second period and the last in the 96th minute.
Jennifer Colvin was credited with three shots and
Jackie Morgan,
Shannon Rogers and
Emily MacKinnon chipped in two shots each.
The Hawks (1-2) return to action Sep 16 when they travel to Thiel College for a double header non-conference contest with the men's teams. The women play first (5pm) and
