Women's Volleyball Splits at Pitt Bradford Tournament

Women's Volleyball traveled to Pitt Bradford on Saturday for a match-up against SUNY Fredonia and Pitt Bradford. The Express would take down Fredonia 3-2 but fall to their host Pitt Bradford 3-0.

Against Fredonia, the Express would capture the first fourth, and fifth set while giving up the second and third set. Miah Williamson would throw in 22 kills and Brianah Dawson served up 36 assists. In the fifth set, the Express found themselves down 14-8, but thanks to 7 straight serves from Leah Gregory, Wells tied it up at 15 a piece! The final set would take 2 extra points but the Express returned to their winning ways against the Blue Devils, 3-2.

Pitt Bradford was ready for Wells College however and took a 1-0 lead while only allowing the Express to score 7 points in the first set. It did not get much better in the second set when the Express only totaled 11 points and found themselves quickly down 2-0. The Express would show some fight in the third set by keeping it close but ultimately, Pitt Bradford would finish off Wells College, 3-0.

Women's Volleyball will be home again Tuesday night!
