Men's Volleyball Sweeps St. Vincent

LATROBE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball won two out of three matches over the weekend, finishing with a 3-0 decision over St. Vincent in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon at the Carey Center.

Key Moments:

* The Lions had a .476 attack percentage, only committing four errors over three sets for the win
* Dillon Hildebrand (Red Lion, PA/Red Lion) had 11 kills on 18 attempts to hit .611 to go with a team-best nine digs and two aces
* JP Goodsel (Corry, PA/Corry) added eight kills while Jake Albert (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) dished out a 15 assists and tied a season-best with three aces
* With the first set tied 6-all, Behrend reeled off 19 points and held the Bearcats to six more points to win 25-12
* Behrend never trailed in the second set, jumping out to a 20-12 advantage behind three kills from Goodsel and Hildebrand
* St. Vincent cut the lead to five before the Lions won on a service error at 25-19
* A small 6-0 spurt by Behrend in the third set broke open a two-point lead that kept the Lions ahead for good
* Diego Ortiz (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Wesleyan Academy) tallied 11 of the 32 assists in the match
* Colin Dedert (Pittsburgh, PA/Plum) and Cody Schnur (Butler, PA/Butler) combined for nine kills with four and five, respectively
