Alfred State Falls Short Against Pitt.- Greensburg

The Alfred State Men's Basketball lost at home today to Pitt.- Greensburg  78-65. The game was back-and-forth throughout, but the Pioneers lost steam down the home stretch.

The Pioneers found themselves down 6 points at halftime 39-33. Stone Silverling (Batavia, NY / Batavia) had a productive first half, going 2-3 from deep with eight points in 12 minutes off the bench.

Alfred State came out of the locker room with hot shooting and the Pioneers tied the game at 54 with ten minutes remaining. Pitt.- Greensburg went on a 12-0 run in the next three minutes to claim their biggest lead on the Pioneers 66-54. The Bobcats didn't look back, not allowing Alfred State to get within nine points of them the rest of the game. Jojo France was the game's leading scorer, the Bobcat guard had 26 points on 10-19 shooting.

The Pioneers were led by Dylan Perry (Kingston, NY / Kingston) who had 19 points and shot 50% from the field. Perry also went a perfect 4-4 from the stripe. Silverling finished with 11 points while going 3-4 from deep.

Alfred State travels to Hilbert on January 11, for a Wednesday night conference match-up. The game is set for 7 p.m.
