Men's Volleyball Opens Season At Sage College Tri-Match

Wells College men's volleyball started their season today at Sage College in Albany in a tri-match with Drew University. The Express would fall to the host, Sage (2-3) as well as Drew University (0-3).

In the first set against Sage, the Express fell behind 20-11 which was too much to overcome. Wells would go on to win the next two sets though with the duo of Mason Moon and Connor Garvey proving to be a formidable one. Sage College would fight back and win the 4th to force a 5th set.  The decisive set started with an 8-8 tie but then the Express began to separate and take an 11-9 lead thanks to a kill and some attack errors by the Gators. Unfortunately for the rest of the set, Sage would go on a 6-2 run and close out the express, 3-2.

Drew University would prove to be a much tougher challenge for Wells College in their second game in a row. Drew would dispatch the Express in three straight sets winning by at least 5 points in each set.

Some highlights from the afternoon were 32 kills from Connor Garvey, 17 kills from Harrison Keena, and 55 assists from Mason Moon!

Men's Volleyball will host SUNY Poly this Wednesday at 6 pm
