HAMBURG, N.Y. – Jennifer Colvin posted four points as Hilbert College collected a 3-1 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference victory over visiting Penn State Altoona this afternoon. The Hawks earned their first AMCC win as they improved to 5-9-1 and 1-6-1. They dropped Altoona to seventh place as the Lions close their season battling for a top six play-off birth.

Courtney Vaccaro who chipped the ball over the keeper's fingers just as the rain began to fall in the 57th minute to put Hilbert up 1-0.
Hilbert continued to control the pace of the game from that point on and, after a foul was called on Altoona, Covlin took a quick restart kick and feed
Jackie Morgan a low, rolling ball. Morgan found a hole and made a break. She scored one-on-one with the keeper at 73:04.
The Hawks weren't done fighting for their first win as they kept pressuring the Lion's defense.
Jennifer Colvin found the ball after a broken play outside the box and she powered it to the back of the net limiting the reaction time of the visiting goalie.
With just over six minutes remaining in the game, Altoona carried the ball down the right sideline and hooked a pass from the end line to in front of the frame. Lacy Trautman snuck the ball past
Jenna Castricone to prevent the road loss shutout.
Altoona outshot the Hawks (18-14) though they matched their on-goal effort at nine apiece.
Jenna Castricone collected eight saves and managed seven Lion corner kicks.
Hilbert defensive core played an outstanding game breaking up plays as the game progressed.

The Hilbert women's soccer team will close their 2015 season this Tuesday, October 27th when they host previously undefeated Pitt-Bradford at 3:15 pm.
The Panthers (7-1) dropped their first AMCC match to Greensburg this afternoon. Families and friends should plan on attending the game as the program will honor their three graduating seniors prior to the kick off.
