AURORA, N.Y. – Imarie Waller footed a rebounded save by the Express goal keeper in the 106th minute to steal a 2-1 road win from Wells College September 23.   Hilbert improved to 3-4 overall after their final non-conference match of the fall before they head into a tough AMCC slate.

Robbi Bailey's goal in the 59th minute gave Hilbert College the lift it needed since Wells got on the score board first at  41:54.

With a tied game after ninety-minutes of action, both teams played through a scoreless 10-mintue overtime, to only start-up a second OT period.

Hilbert's offensive burst in the 106th minute pressured the Express defense.  Jackie Morgan's first shot went wide and four seconds later she let loose another shot (save) which rebounded to Imaire Waller's foot.  With one strike, the win was Hilbert's.

Grace Adams was solid in net for Hilbert and her defense held strong limiting the Express offense to only ten shots on goal.  Adams was credited with eight saves to earn her third victory of the season.

Hilbert was the aggressor in the game outshooting the Express (26-23).   Jackie Morgan led the attack with five shots and she, Chelsea Olson and Imarie Waller were on target with a team-high three shots-on-goal each.  Jennifer Colvin also unleased four shots and Megan Van Norman and Kaitlyn Layman found space for three shots each.

The Hawks' real season starts this weekend when they host La Roche College in an AMCC match-up beginning at 1pm.
