CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – The Hilbert College women's soccer team opened the 2019 season with a 7-2 non-conference road loss at Cazenovia College this afternoon.  The Hawks, who were trailing 3-2 at intermission, gave up four-unanswered second half goals in defeat.

Freshman Macy Kisner (Stanley, NY/Midlakes) tallied both scores in her rookie debut and sophomore Amber Stuck (Bolivar, NY/Bollivar-Richburg) picked-up her first assist of the season in the 33rd minute.

Junior Brianna Stegmeier (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) logged 73 minutes between the pipes, gave up six goals and collected 11 saves before rotating to a field player the final six minutes of the game.

Freshman Lauryn Scott was credited with four saves while surrendering one score in the 82nd minute as she closed the game in goal.

The Hawks were outshot 35-5 with all five Hilbert shots directed on-goal. 

Hilbert (0-1) returns to action Tuesday, September 10th when they host their home opener against Alfred University at 4pm.
