Panthers to Host Mounties in Makeup Contest

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team will return to KOA Arena on Monday to host Mount Aloysius in a game that was previously postponed in January.

The Panthers are 2-17 on the season and looking to get off the mark in AMCC play. In their last contest, the Panthers fell at Pitt-Greensburg 99-73. Five different Panthers reached double figures in the game, with Avery Benzel and Cassidy King leading with 14 points each.

Hannah Lary is the Panthers' leading scorer at 13.6 points per game. She is shooting 35.9% from the field and is the Panthers' top free-throw shooter at 75%. Cailey Barnett is the only other Panther to average double-figures as she scores 11.2 points per contest. Cassidy King is the Panthers' leading rebounder at 10.1 per game.

The Mounties are 3-17 on the year, with a 3-9 record in AMCC play. They enter the game following a 77-48 home loss to Medaille. Cameron Bates has led the Mounties offensively, as she scores 10.9 points per game. Carly Stigers adds 9.2 points per game while shooting 30.0% from three. Bates also leads the team in rebounding at 7.2 rebounds per game.

The teams will be playing for the second time in 5 days, as the Mounties won the first matchup last Wednesday by a score of 87-70. Cassidy King and Daizjah Brown both set career highs in the game, as King scored 22 and Brown added 18. Alexa Ackerman scored 10 off the bench for the Panthers. Bates led the Mounties with 25 points while Abbey Dobbins recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

The following regulations will be in place to align with Pitt-Bradford's COVID-19 mitigation efforts for indoor events. All spectators, game staff, officials, and team members not actively participating on the court are required to wear a mask at all times. Masks must be affixed to cover the wearer's nose and mouth. All spectators will be required to sign in upon their entrance into the facility, as the lists will be used in any contact tracing efforts that may become necessary. They will be required to provide a name and contact phone number to game staff.
