Men's Basketball Competes in 51st Annual Marietta Shrine Tournament

MARIETTA, OH - The Men's Basketball team hit the road this weekend to partake in Marietta's 51st annual Shrine Tournament. For their first matchup of the weekend, the team battled with the Guilford Quakers. 

After a rough rumble, the Redhawks fell by 8 points to the Quakers. 

Having hot hands tonight was Joe Pipilo. The senior went 7 for 15 in field goal range, 5 for 11 behind the three-point line, and 2 for 2 in free throws for a total of 21 point's in the evening's contest. Pipilo also recorded 6 rebounds and 3 assists. 

Jordan Grayson recorded his first double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Grayson earned a field goal percentage of 50% on the floor tonight. 

Devon Darrell and Desmond Ross also hit double-digits against the Quarters. Darrell netted 16 points, and Ross earned 14. 

La Roche will play their second game of the tournament tomorrow; tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
