HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Hilbert College men's soccer team battled back from a 3-0 deficit late in the game but dropped a 3-2 AMCC loss to Pitt.-Greensburg this morning.
The Hawks were credited with their first goal in the 82nd minute after
Brandon Bundschuh centered the ball to the box which led to a Bobcat defender deflecting it over the goal line. Bundschuh then added Hilbert's final score off a penalty kick in the 89th minute.
Greensburg held a 33-14 advantage in shots with Hilbert's
Tucker Reynolds pulling in 10 saves by the final horn.
Bundschuh led the offensive charge with three shots in 45 minutes of action.
Mike Gullo and
Hector Harris followed with two shots each.
Hilbert (0-4-1, 0-1 AMCC) is gearing up to host their first mid-week league game when Pitt.-Bradford comes to town October 1. Kick-off is set for 2pm on the Hawks' varsity game field.
