Men's Soccer: Bison Roll in 5-2 Victory Over Pitt-Bradford

Tridelphia, W.Va. – After falling in their season opener, the Bethany College men's soccer team bounced back with a 5-2 win over the University of Pitt-Bradford, Sunday afternoon.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Sophomore Modou Faye kicked off the match with an unassisted goal three minutes into the match
  • UPB knotted the match at 1-1 at the 16:08 mark
  • The Bison would pull away scoring the next three goals
  • Arnold Fontes-Candida scored at the 27:47 mark and two minutes later, Jack Sella scored off of a Modou Faye assist
  • Edmund Aggrey added an insurance goal at the 42:50 mark
  • UPB tried to make a comeback scoring at the 57:16 mark, but Bethany added the final goal of the match from a Valentin Ursino header

BY THE NUMBERS

  • 33 – The Bison took 33 shots compared to the Panthers' seven
  • 31 – Matteo Pintus registered his first career start and win Sunday afternoon
  • 5 – The Bison had balance scoring with five different scorers
