La Roche Starts Week with a Win; Six Redhawks with Double Digits

PITTSBURGH, PA - The men's basketball team at La Roche University, after a three game losing streak, are able to break the hold and come out on top with a 107-90 victory. 

When the Redhawks went to the locker room at half time, things were looking like they were going to rumble in the second half. 

The Terriers hit nine three point shots, six of which came from Brodgie Gordon, who walked away with 25 points in tonight's contest. The score at the beginning of the second half was 49-46, La Roche only up by two.

Tonight's contest victory lies in the defense. The Redhawks were able to force 16 turnovers from a very solid Hiram team. The offensive turned these turnovers into 19 points, helping the team gain the competitive edge. 

Leading tonight was Devon Darrell with 22 points. Darrell shot 67 percent from both the field goal range, and from behind the arc. He allocated seven assists, and six rebounds. 

The team shot 54.5 percent from field goal range, and it translated to the paint, where the offense was able to net 40 points. 

Kadyn Hannah stayed on his path and scored 16 buckets, continuing on with his rookie season. 

Joe Pipilo filled right behind with 15 points. Isaiah Thomas continued suit and hit the rim for 13 points in the score book. 

Finally, Michael Brooks and Desmond Ross each completed 11 points, the last members of the double digits club for the night.
