Loretto, PA- The Mount Aloysius Men's and Women's Cross Country teams both participated in the Father Bede Cross Country Invitational, hosted by Saint Francis University on Friday morning at Immergrun Golf Club. The Mounties competed against NCAA Division I and II teams Saint Francis, Alderson Broaddus and Pitt-Johnstown in the invitational.

Sarah Courtwright paced the Mounties in the Women's Race which covered 5,000 meters. Courtwright finished in 20th place with a time of 25:49.2. Sophomore Sarah Logan was the Mounties second best finisher, completing the race in 27:57.8, good for 25th place.

The Men's race covered 6,630 meters. Freshmen Tyaire Durant and Vince Drapela were the best finishers for the Mounties. Durant finished in 24th place with a time of 30:04.2. Drapela finished just 18 seconds behind him for 25th place.

The Mountie's next action will be in 2 weeks at Allegheny College in Meadville PA.
