Men's Volleyball Falls On The Road To Hilbert

Wells College men's volleyball hit the road for Hilbert College this evening for another conference match-up.

Earlier this season, Hilbert came to Wells College and took down the Express in three straight sets. Wells College planned to make this match-up a different story.

After playing the start of the first set to an 8-8 tie, Wells fell behind 13-8. The Express rallied on kills from Billy McCrae and Harrison Keena to take a 21-19 lead. From that point on, Hilbert went on a 7-3 run to take set one, 26-24. In set two, Wells fell behind 10-4 forcing a timeout from the Express. The Express tried multiple times to get back into this set, but some service errors pulled them back and they lost the second set, 25-15. The Express played the Hawks tight the entire third set. Wells tallied three blocks and ten kills in the third set while only committing two service errors. Confidence Burrowes had a big late kill, but it was not enough to get the Express over the hump and they fell 25-22 (3-0).

Men's Volleyball will be back home this Saturday when they host Mt Aloysius College.
