BRADFORD, Pa. – With a tied score at half time, the Hilbert College men's soccer team had a fighting chance for a road victory against Pitt-Bradford.  The Panthers connected for two, second-half scores which sandwiched Hilbert's marker to claim a 2-1 win.  Neither the New York or Pennsylvania school moved on in the AMCC play-offs based on the outcome of the contest, but Bradford improved to 3-6 while Hilbert fell to 2-7.

In what looked like an evenly played game, Bradford held a slight edge in shots (17-13) over Hilbert but both teams were identical in shots on goal (9).  Bradford's big foot today was Ethan Acaster who netted the game's first score and took six shots (four on frame). 

Hilbert's Garrett Rehner scored his first collegiate goal to even the pace at 1-1 in the 57th minute.  Matthew Barth feed him a long cross from the left side of the field for the score.

In the 74th minute, Seth Levy finished a break-away run by beating Jonathon Davison for the game winner.

Davison finished with seven saves and ended if first season in goal with a 2-2 record for Hilbert. 

Matt Hamister led the Hawks with four shots, but Tomas Bojkovski found room for two shots on goal.

The Hawks (4-12-1) have concluded their 2014 season and will begin planning for next season after their bumps and bruises heal
