Men’s Soccer Downed by Bradford

BRADFORD, Pa. – Penn State Altoona men's soccer traveled north to Bradford, where it lost a tough match to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference foe Pitt-Bradford 8-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Lions (9-5, 3-3 AMCC) were unable to generate any offense in the game, as their eight shots on goal out of 18 attempts came up empty. On the other hand, Pitt-Bradford (6-6-1, 4-2 AMCC) had everything going its way Saturday, scoring eight goals on 15 shots on net.

Pitt-Bradford's offense was led by Chase Rider, who scored a hat-trick of goals along with two assists. Scott Compson scored two goals for Pitt-Bradford, while Joe Magro, Spencer Sklar, and Jan Winnewisser each tallied one goal.

Penn State Altoona goalkeeper Tommy Packevicz (Trumbull, CT/Christian Heritage) was able to save four shots for the Lions, while Alexander Ferry (Warren, PA/Warren) managed to tally three saves.

The Lions will look to bounce back from Saturday's loss when they travel to face another AMCC opponent, Pitt-Greensburg, this Wednesday afternoon at 3:15 p.m.
