PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Jackie Morgan's late-game goal gave Hilbert new life in the women's soccer game at La Roche College today.  The Hawks eventually fell 2-1 to the hot-team in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference right now.  La Roche is 4-2 early in the season and Hilbert evened their record at 4-4 overall.

Neither team could find the back of the net in the first forty-five minutes of action, even though La Roche outshot the Hawks 12-2.  Jenna Castricone was credited with six first-half saves in that time frame.

The league's goal scoring leader, Vanessa Ceravolo, tallied a marker at 50:11 and, then twelve minutes later, the Redhawks scored a deflection, rebounded goal. 

Jackie Morgan's goal in the 68th minute lifted Hilbert into action.  From that point, the Hawks attempted seven more shots and were hit with an off-sides call before the final horn in despiration mode to force overtime.

Courtney Vaccaro and Morgan led the Hawks with three shots each and forced the Redhawk keeper into three saves while giving up one maker.

Jenna Castricone produced her first double-digit save game by collecting 11..

Hilbert returns to action this Tuesday at Penn State Behrend's turf field.  The men's game starts at 5pm and the women will play at 7:30 pm.
