Behrend Volleyball Wins Sixth Straight; Lions Defeat Alfred State

ALFRED, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team won their sixth straight contest with a 3-0 win over Alfred State in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Wednesday night.

* The Behrend Lions have swept their opponents in five of the last six matches
* Behrend won by identical scores in all three sets (25-14)
* Keely Hering (North East, PA/North East) posted her fourth double-double of the season
* Hering led with a match-high 10 kills while adding 10 digs
* Madison Clapper (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) made 16 digs and Dani Kosslow (Pittsburgh, PA/South Park) dished out 32 assists for match highs
* The Lions pulled out to a 10-point lead in each set for the AMCC victory
* With the third set tied at 14-all, Behrend reeled off 11 straight points for the match
* The Lions closed out the third set with four services aces, including three by Kosslow and one from Liane Mooney (Elizabeth, PA/Elizabeth Forward)
