Giana DiMora (Greece Olympia) made 14 saves in her first collegiate start as Alfred State battled Penn State Behrend, the top team in the AMCC. The Lions were able to earn a 3-0 victory.
DiMora, who had appeared in three games earlier in the season, faced 20 shots (17 on goal) from the Lions and stopped 14.
Emily Clopp scored in the 13th minute and then assisted on a goal by Karla Ochoa just over five minutes later. The game remained 2-0 until the final two minutes when Mia Zec scored on a penalty kick.
The Pioneers travel to Pittsburgh, PA on Sunday for a 2 p.m. game with La Roche. They conclude the regular season on Tuesday at Hilbert.
